Short term memory loss??

Hi to all,

Since I have been on the fentanyl pain patch my short term memory seems to be shot. I can remember back 30 years ago, but forget something that might have happened a month ago. This really scares me, so if anyone has any suggestions please help.

Thanks and Take Care....LS

Hello and Happy Holidays.

I have been on Fentanyl therapy for a number of years.  Like you, I am experiencing short (and for me some long term) memory loss.  Also, I am experiencing greater and greater degrees of this memory loss.

My question (hopefully to a health care professional), concerns the possible reversal of this pronounced side effect when the use of fentanyl is discontinued or reduced.

Hi Lady,
Fentenal is very strong. I know all about the jell inside the patch.
I also used to boot Fentenal I always got hammered and my short term memory was always effected.
Your forgetting because you doing a very powerful pain med. much stronger than vicodins so don't be alarmed.
