I, too, sneeze profusely and it is very annoying.  I know it is a symptom of withdrawal, but have found it is not the most annoying.  I tell everyone it is sinus problems, but have never had sinus issues in my life.  I can't wait until a normal life is resumed and we have to believe it is all in recovery.

WOW I am over 30 days and have been sneezing right along, and never associated it with WD.  They are doing work around my condo, and thought it was just dust or something, even though none of my neighbors is sneezing.......DUH    jerri

the first thing I feel during withdrawal is the sneezing.  I have always wondered why that is.  I will sneeze 7 or 8 times in a row.  I'm glad to see other people have that too, lol

Opiates suppress the cough and sneeze reflexes, so when you stop taking them, the reflexes slowly begin to return to normal and you find yourself coughing or sneezing for no apparent reason as they come back.

its a combo of things, sneezing is triggered from the central nervous system, from allergies, drug withdrawl, bright light as well, your nervous system is in chaos during withdrawl so its a stimulus reaction, also the running nose irrates the membranes as well. Opiates are also excellent for coughs, bronchial, pnuemonia, etc because they dry the respirtory up, so when you stop them for good you get all these things going on and its like hell on earth, add in watery eyes, flu like stomach issues and sweats, its like the flu times 1000000

Hey girl!  I didn't sneeze, but my nose would run like it was in a marathon.  Atleast that lets us use a cold as the excuse for looking like he!!
