This is one of the best posts i have seen!!! lol Congrats on your useless socks!! Tie a knot in them and let the dog play!!
Thank you lily for making my day~
BAHAHAHA!! Lily...you are SOOOO funny....I giggled outloud as I read this. For several reasons actually....you and I are VERY close with our clean times and I, too, have been doing A LOT of reflecting the last few days as to what last Summer was like versus this Summer.
I, too, have a drawer full of socks.. lol, but that's only because I have had this "sock fetish" for years so had more than enough during withdrawals. And because I was too sick to do laundry...they came in very handy!
What a great way to look at those socks....you ROCK~
Enjoy your bare feet, dear one!
Yay For not needing those socks anymore whewt whewt! Your post made me smile :)
One of the things that I have now that I didnt have alot of was Great clothes I used to spend all my money on pills so I wouldnt have any money left to spend on clothes and extras, well now I treat myself alot now :))) I never enjoyed shopping before, I hated the way I looked before because I was too thin and just unhealthy looking! and now I look in the mirror and like who I see, I have put on almost 15 pounds and I actually have some JUNK IN MY TRUNK! hahaha My Face is healthy looking also no more dark circles under my eyes and that look of unhappy.
YAY For being CLEAN and being FREE! and for so many blessing and so many great days!
God bless you Lilly! and keep doing what you do you have always made me smile and today reading your post about the socks just made me SMILE and Giggle . I have been struggling lately with depression and its got me worried! I needed to look at the positive and the list is long and wonderful! THANK YOU My friend God bless you! <3
Hi there. Loved the post. I, too, was in the height of wd's last August. I can remember it like it was yesterday. The other day, I heard a song that I played over and over last August when I forced myself to walk down the street for some exercise. Night after night i would tromp out there like dead weight with my shaking legs, sweaty back, watery mouth, and all of that other good stuff. When I heard the song the other day, I almost couldn't listen to it- sent chills down my spine. It also made me feel very grateful that I am no longer that weak wornout girl forcing herself along...and that made me smile :)
And congrats on all of your extra socks!
That is really funny, I love it...I am only on day 8 and can't wait to tell stories like that...I know it was not funny at the time, but you have to admit it is now...Give all those extra socks to a shelter or something like that...You truly are in inspiration..Hugs
