Today is THE day!!

Hi all! It's been a bit since I posted but I just wanted to let y'all know that the day is FINALLY here. I have my appt to see the dentist today to get fitted for my new obturator. It's not a pleasant process but I'm welcoming it with arms wide open! I hope it doesn't take long for them to make it. I would think it couldn't take more than a couple weeks but I'm asking them to put a rush on it just because this one fits so poorly and is still causing bleeding.

Sorry I haven't been around as much as usual. I've been so busy with the kids and school programs. I even went and got a haircut! Haven't had one of those in over 3 years and was ready for something different. Of course I didn't have the nerve to have it cut short, but a change was needed! Funny how being methadone free now makes me want the pampering and little things that I kinda hid from and didn't care about before. Look out!! I'm baaaack!!

Thank you both! And Ricart, you hit the nail on the head! Before the methadone, I always went for manicures and acrylic nails n such...then I got to the point that I taught myself how to do it because I just didn't even want to go. (Which wasn't too awful bad btw because then a few ppl I worked with started paying me to do their nails too..lol) I didn't realize until recently just how much of a recluse I had really become. It's weird getting out and doing things. I feel young again!!

And thanks for the good luck wishes. I have a feeling I may need it considering how bull-headed they've been throughout this whole ordeal! Lol.

Hey!  awesome that they are finally going to see you.
I think when we are on drugs we are satiated enough that we don't feel the need to seek other ways of feeling better. Once we get off of them we do lots more to make us feel better then we start to see the concrete results of those things in our lives.   Hope you fitting goes great and you have a great day.   :))
