Sub Withdrawal

Hi all. Just wanted to ask anyone that took Sub to get off  pain pills about their experience getting off of the Sub. I have been on for 6 weeks.  My doctor told me we will probably do a slow taper over 6 months.  I feel great now but am concerned about getting off of them. Any help would be appreciated.

So, you're back not helping anyone, just strating trouble again.
We were really hopeing you were gone.
How about trying to advise people on what you know first hand and keep it to that.
How about offering encouragement to people, instead of giving out one sided, hear-say, copy and paste info that you really have no experiance with.
We all know you are just here to harrass certain people.
Try being helpful for a change.

Your doctor is right. Slow and low. When you get down to a really low dose, like.05 mgs. start doseing every other day, then every 2 days etc. then eventually you'll just forget to dose and be done.  Thats what I'll be doing this summer.  The only fear I have is my pain issues. The Sub does help it alittle and I sure don't want to relapse because of pain issues, but I don't want to be on the Sub forever either. Good luck and keep us posted on your progress.

Thanks you guys.  Like I said I have felt better in the last 6 weeks than I have in 4 years.Just getting scared to death because of some of the things I have read about Sub withdrawal.  This place is amazing. There is alway someone here to try to help no matter what......if you are doing good and proud of yourself you all give amazing praise and inspiration........., if we falter, you are always there to tell us to hike up our skirts and get on the horse again. Never "scolding " for falling off the horse. Always inspiration....you all are incredible for taking so much time out of your lives (especially after you have suceeded in  being clean) to stay on here indefintely to help other people. You all truly are amazing.

Trust your Dr on this. A slow taper yields a higher rate of success.
