Suboxin with Versed

I have to have a biopsy next week and my doctor said they might give me Versed. I do not want to tell my family doctor I take Suboxin so I am thinking I will just pass on the Versed; they do numb the area first.  Has anyone ever had Versed when on Suboxin?  Thanks

Versed is not an opiate, is is an anti-anxiety and used for light short sedation in procedures like this or colonoscopy.  I don't think there will be an issue with the suboxone and you will probably me much more comfortable taking the Versed.  I would definitely tell the doctor though because they need to know the meds you are on - especially mixing a benzo type med with suboxone.  Work with them and they will work with you.

Do you have a doctor prescribe your Suboxone?  If your family doctor is the one doing the procedure and is on top of things, wouldn't they find out through a database that you are taking the Sub anyway, if prescribed through a doctor?  It kinda scares me for you that you would have a procedure done that requires the sedation and they don't know you are on Sub, how are they going to know how much to give you?  I would just be honest with your family doc.  He can't pass on your confidential information anyway, right?
