45 days free of 6 years of Subs...

I never thought I would make it to this day. Day 30 was easier I feel than the last 2 weeks. My energy level  is still pretty low on most days and my leg pain just won't go away.
I was prescribed Suboxone at 4 X 8 mg's daily for 6 years to help with my lortab addiction. Suboxone is a miracle drug but the withdrawals has been the worst. I have come a longgg way and will never use again. I only wish the best for all here and to please stay strong. This leg is going to be the death of me!

Question for you, as I'm tapering to try to get off the subs, been on them for 7 months started at 8 and down to 4mgs right now, how long did you taper to finally get off of them? Doctor added anti depressant as the change in dose has made me feel so down! Anti depressant seems to be working as well as sleep meds. You should be so proud of yourself, as only someone who's been there knows how hard it is. Congrats!!!

I can go to bed at 9:00 and sleep till about 5:00 with a couple of small wake ups. I think I tried all the non addicting sleep meds and found Trazadone works well with me. I wake up not feeling rested though. I get better as the day goes on, but come about 7:00 i'm dead tired. Epsom salt baths help big time with my legs. When I lay down in the bed my legs tingle in pleasure it feels so good from being so tired and sore! I'm still fighting some depression from the Sub with some days being good, some days I feel like a complete failure. It's hard being a small business owner and having to fight the fight though. Thanks for the congrats. We really need the pat on the back.

if you can talk to your doctor about the leg pain.  There are some non addictive meds out there that will help.  Sleep is so necessary for recovery and if you are not able to sleep it can lower your ability to have energy!  Congrats on your day 30!  Wonderful!!!!!

and this is great because people on sub need of hearing from other people going through the same and sharing the same experiences, good for you

Thanks Laurel! My main reason for posting is to show others that it can be done. It's been hell, to say the least. Would I love a Sub right now? Yes, but I wont since I know what it can do.
