Well, it's been a week now, you're in the thick of it. Do you take vitamins, minerals, and aminos? It doesn't stop the symptoms, but it does help with some symptoms and speed up recovery. Do you still think you're only dependent or has craving started to kick in?
Though environment, genetics, and drug use combined are a sure fire recipe for addiction, one can become an addict from long-term exposure to drugs, even if you had a loving childhood and no genetic predisposition. Hope you feel better soon.
Well i dont know what tissue dependent means but since iv been taking this BS for little under four years i think its a little worse than that! Im sorry it took me so long to get back as i wasnt able to remember which site i posted for help, kept taking me to (bluelight thread)..anyways thanks for the help but wowwee am i worn out. Tried to go to work today and uhuh, nope not a full day, aint happening, im 40 no sh__ t feels like im 80. Got up made breakfast for my beutiful better/halve which she politely said "no thanks", then i preceeded to eat hers and mine. Left for work, got to light looked at texts (first time in a week) horns blowin, people screaming since i made them ALL wait through the light before i realized i was back in the real world, so i turned my 20# overweight fat *** right around and headed back home, picked our shih tzu puppy up and back to nappy time for two hours. Back up , out of house stopped and bought 3 power aids slammed one and im feeling well enough to post this before getting back to work. Before i starting taking suboxone then subutex i never took (or at least tried not to take more pain pills than prescribed) but even when prescribed suboxone 2 pills ( 8 mg each) i did as told, and you know what? There are actually more people like me out there walking through life like zombies than people who actually abuse the sh_t out of drug(s) which we then refer to them as addicts....Funny thing is, you know why i quit, i would go into my Dr's appointment (which i actually got along with him great) but funny thing is, if anything, i was actually counciling him in some weird sort of way, and we never, ever spoke once for more than 7 minutes, (except when i said WTF to one of his loudmouth nurses, i neednt not a drug test for christs sake im the one who came here on my own, (another story all together, but whatever if he needs to protect his license, haha i should of been testn him), ramblin-sorry, BUT fact of matter is this, i quit because NOT quitting is living life with blinders on walking around like some looser zombie, which the Worlds Gov wants anyways you can be sure of that, but quitting is NO worse than when your tired, hungry, and freezing cold just climbing out of 60 the degree ocean, then being told to strip to your underwear (which doesnt make you any warmer or colder, simply mind control) and go ahead and get wet, yep get back in the ocean, and while your at it learn to LIKE IT!
Now im no Navy Seal nor am i in the Military but my Dad was in Viet Nam died of Agent Orange, and these people go through hell and back for the chance to defend us, so Man Up!
Funny thing is when i got off vicodin i was taking 6 per day, then i called doctor and toldem how bad i felt he said i have the answer, suboxone. Support i get from my family, thats my support, as far as abusing drugs or alcohol , never took more than doc told me, can count x iv been drunk on both hands so i just want off this rediculous drug so i can move on. I just need to get through this week..
A lot of people find exercise difficult, but really helpful. I did laps in my living room at times. Swimming and saunas helped me a lot. Eating good is great, but I think the recovering body needs more than normal nutrition. Vitamins, minerals, and aminos are needed to heal. A protein drink helps with energy and nutrition, if you can't eat, which is common. 12 step meetings really help with adjusting to a sober life. I was amazed at how much the bupe effected me until I stopped taking it. Do you have a support group or any aftercare in place?
