Sugar Levels

My sugar is 76. I ate a chocolate donut earlier this morning because it was low. I don't feel good if it's not at least 120. I ate another piece of candy waiting for it to go up. Does detox make you do that?

Were you symptomatic when you ate the donut and candy?  76 is not terribly low...it's just on the edge...and that's a huge sugar dump you gave yourself. I wouldn't do that just because of the number and you might want to go for a more complex carb instead of candy and donuts.  Let us know what the doctor says about it.

Are you type 1 or 2?

Sounds like a call to your doctor that manages your blood sugar levels would be a wise thing to do, Tooter.  Surely better to be safe than sorry, huh?

Oh yeah.....when we take opiates....it affects ALL our other medications....so now that you are off the pain meds....your other meds may be working differently.  Just a thought....

Hey Tooter....aren't you diabetic?  Or have had diabetic related issues?
Are you on any meds for that?
I would call your doctor's office and get some counsel there.....low blood sugar is not typically an opiate w/drawal symptom.
