Day 7 is fantastic - tram is often a horrible withdrawal - so if sleep is your major concern you are doing well.
Your can try the over the counter sleep aids - or see if your Dr. will give you something for a few days to see if you can get some sleep.  It will take time for your sleep to return to a normal cycle.
Hang in there - tram withdrawal does not tend to be linear - some good days and then some bad days - be patient and stay motivated and positive.
Good luck.

Congrats on 7 days!

There are otc drugs like mentioned above..as well as tylenol pm etc//most contain benadryl other than melatonin and valerian root

also ur dr can give u some safe meds to help u right now,,sleep is important to recovery..without it we become weak

Phenergan an anti-nausea drug//most drs will call in for a tummy virus/is a good sleep aid...muscle relaxers like zanaflex can help too...ambien and lunesta should be used with caution by addicts but not as dangerous as benzos like xanax..talk to ur dr

also try getting ur room really cold at night..bundle up and throw off blankets as needed...cold slows metabolism..also if u dont fall asleep//get up and come back to bed//so as not to associate ur bed with tossing and turning..be sure u have some down time before bed...deep breathing/filling ur lungs and exhaling can also help while u think of sumpin pleasant..i have always used flowers blowing in the wind..or waves rolling in from the ocean

Hey there Bruce!
As you said you used for 4 years and you're 7 days clean, congrats BTW!.
But do the math... We all are very impatient to get back to normal within no time, I know I was just the same! Allow your body to adjust and adapt and give it some time. Exercise helps the process but there's no wonder, time is your best friend.
Did you try melatonin or valerian roots to help you with the sleep? just an idea...
Best of luck to you!
