Teen Creativity

I have a step son that has been to several rehabs.

Recently we were talking about addiction and he brought to my attention that he and other teens were smoking Baby Ambisol (spelling is probably wrong), but that gum numbing stuff for teething babies.

I was not aware that was an option!  I don't know what it does, or how.  I don't know that he was telling the absolute truth either (sorry, but he has that habit also).

I brought this here because I want anyone with teens to know about this.  I sure wouldn't have guessed!

Anyway, if anyone has more information on this I would love to be more educated.

Thanks
Gogeyi

Yes, the music prof did love the outcome.  I had a relatively expanded diaphragm during my entire musical career which I contribute directly to this 'extracurricular' activity.

Those callings you heard may well have been me.  -- if you were any where near Cleveland Stadium, or Buffalo War Memorial.  :)

I actually never did whippets, though my brother used to load up on them whenever the Dead played NY City.  I used to hear the calls while wandering around outside a venue though.

Brilliant!  Yes.  The watermelon, we turned into an entire gatoraide keg of fruit w/ assorted alcohol.  Soaked for many days, that was called a spody.

Whippets, I have only known them as a dog that I have rehabed!  Lol..... Looks a lot like an Itialian Grey Hound....But if if progressed your lungs, my music proffessor would have LOVED that!

Lol.....

Yup!

Be careful, you might start showing your age if you keep tossing out snippets of whippets like that.

.... now why do I bother to leave the age portion of my thing blank if I'm going to start typing a bunch of drug nostalgia that will obviously date my butt??

Whippits are/where (I assume they are still readily available) the mini CO2 canisters that they used to sell for culinary endeavors.  You'd buy a box of them, then go to your local 'Head' shop and pick up a carburetor (what we called it) to help deliver said 'Whippit'.  They would expand the heck out of your lung capacity and give an intense buzz that lasted for about 10-20 minutes depending on the strength of the carb and the capacity of your lungs.

Yep, I was absolutely brilliant as a teenager.  I used to love to do whippits and while noshing on a pickled watermelon that had been plugged with 151 and had 'soaked' for at least a few hours.  Yep, flippin' brilliant....   (insert head shake here)

That's interesting.  Teens will sniff, snort, swallow or smoke just about anything.  Now they  are smoking Sage (Salvia) which is an herb that produces hallucinations similar to LSD, but only lasting about 45 minutes.  It is very easy to acquire.  Also, they are selling their Adderal and Ritalin at school. Gotta stay one step ahead of them!!
