Everyone here knows that I have struggled with energy this week and that I am the most impatient one of everyone on this forum......LOL, but I am trying to correct the low energy with vitamins and amino acids listed on the health pages.  It's not the quick fix that I would like, but hey, you gotta start somewhere!  Getting rest helps as well as trying to stay positive and not let negative, "I can't stand this day" feelings overcome you.  I had surgery last week and can't exercise yet, but that is probably the best thing we can do to get energy back!

Good luck

You are NOT alone!!!

Try to keep as busy as you can. That got me through after the first week or two. Less time thinking is a good thing!

hi.  It took a good 2 1/2 months before my energy really returned with conviction.  I still had the blahs, sometimes I still do, but I try to look forward to doing little things.  Taking my dogs for a short walk, looking out over the water at the birds, watching other people fish lol, and going fishing myself.  Do you have any hobbies that you like to do?  They will give you some energy.  Get outside if you can and just do little things at a time...even just take a drive.  Just getting out of the house sometimes will bring energy too.  I was lucky and had a mother in law who wouldnt take no for an answer, and wisked me all around the small town we lived in to do stuff.  And that really helped alot!  Find something interesting to do, whether its a good movie, or whatever.  Something to get your mind off your dilemma today.  Whatever it may be.  Great luck to you, you will feel better, trust me :)

excersise. I know it is like pushing a tank up hill but try. It will help you sleep, eating,
I would walk up my steps, sit at the top turn around and do it agin. It really will help.
Do a small walk or anything you like. Just few min. 2 or 3 times a day.

Hi and welcome~
Sorry, but it takes a bit more time than two weeks. Try to be patient. To me,this is the worst part...You need viamins: magnesium, calcium, potassium,All the B vitamins...
A lot of fluids, hot baths, some exercise.  Melatonin for sleep.  Good food.
It takes a while to get back on track and you do have to push a little.

Honestly, the only thing that will really help is time. I know it's not the answer you want, but unfortunately, it's reality. Addictive personalities are always the instant gratification types. And, wanting to feel better RIGHT NOW is something we struggle with. Our addictions took years to develop, and it won't resolve itself in days. Most people get most of their energy back between 30-60 days. Sometimes longer for longer acting opiates like Suboxone and Methadone. Eating right and exercise can speed the process, but don't expect anything to provide overnight results. And, please don't get into the trap of experimenting with amphetamines like Ritalin or Adderall, that's a definite "speed trap".
