All of these meds are thru the IV execpt the sleeping pill and the levinox which they inject in my belly  :(

You poor kid. Get better soon.  Being in the hospital that long sucks. At least you have a lap top, I'd go nuts without a computer.
Take care,
Magi

Good luck to you. Being put on all of those meds would ruin me right now...only 13 days so far. I hope that when you leave the hospital your off the IVs. Do you have someone who can help you at home besides the nurse? I will keep you in my prayers

Wow. Lots of us are whining about aches and pains brought on by our own self destruction and you're going through this. God Bless.

you want to start weaning NOW . that is a whole lot of meds .I was getting demerol ever 4 when i was in the hospital after the day three I asked them to wean me down I was afraid of getting hooked and withdrawl.I went down to oxy. Then took a half a pill 3 times a day to take the edge off .for a few days then i stopped ....

Well of course you don't need to be worred about the Lovenox or the Heparin, but the others will be weaned before they stop you, if they stop you by the time you go home.  If by any chance you are having s/s of w/d when you are home, talk to your nurse.  She'll be going over alot more than the PICC maintenance, and med administration, which you'll learn to do yourself.  She will be an advocate for you to report to your doctor how you're feeling and doing.  She'll be a great source of advice and information to you as well.

well...maybe ask them for the lowest dose...which they are probably already doing...first you could stop asking for the dilaudid if u still are/and when you can tolerate it   then ask them to cut the morphine next...find out how much they are giving you...usually is ordered 2-4 mg IV on the morphine...let me know

Wow Jenna that's a lot of stuff, in the belly ow!  You poor thing. Maybe you can tell them you become easily dependent on pain meds and will need to be tapered.

I hope you come home soon, you are missed!
