Thomas recipe

I have looked over the Thomas recipe and I see that many people use it and it seems to work...my question is how do you obtain valuim or any of the meds for the #1 requirement? It seems like many of you just have this stuff around the house...but doesn't it require a doc to prescribe it? If so, how easy is it to get...what do you tell you doc to get it?

i found benzos invaluable.  i thing sleep is a key element here and have read other journals where they didn't sleep at all and experienced really bad stuff.  i have slept every night and it has been bearable. i already had a prescription for them.

you may not believe this, but if its sleep you're looking for I've used Benadryl allergy otc pills (Red box) and have found them to help me sleep BETTER than Valium. Im not a doctor just telling you what helped me sleep. That stuff knocked me out. Valium made me sleep but woke up a few hours later. Benadryl made me sleep all night.

if u come clean with ur doctor about ur plan..most will prescribe a weak benzo..if not then something comparable but safer for anxiety....be safe and keep posting

the thomas recipe has lots to offer besides the benzos for anxiety...the aminos help u8r brain heal and the long term effect of than is far more important than a valium each day for anxiety...short term many can use benzos for wds....but there are other safer drugs that can suffice...muscle relaxers, nuerontin, phenergan, many ADs help anxiety....natural sources are thenaine, kava kava and calme forte to name  a few....for sleep people implement melatonin, valerian root and valerian root is also used for anxiety as well....give it a chance before deciding it wont work...exercise oes wonders for anxiety as well

Talk to your doctor about the best way to WD off your meds there are things like colonadine that can be helpful . I found zanaflex hugely helpful.

well then I am not sure why the Thomas Recipe is on here listed and recommended for people trying to get of of narcs...

Traycee Is right yes they are on it  there .However  it does not have to be used .I used zanaflex instead. Benzos are addicing no one ever plans on getting addicted to something but I was not going to risk the chace .Yes they have to be perscribed by a doctor.

I don't understand your response...I thought that was the main thing about the Thomas Recipe...I have been through w/ds before and I need something to help get through it or I won't make it...or I should say I won't even start because I can't do that again with no help

You DONT have to have the benzos its just very useful. No one here can/should tell how get them from your Dr.
