Tips to stay clean????

I have been taking vikes and percs for a while, and i only take them to get high.. I loved the feeling. But, today was the day i decided that enough was enough. Well last night was, so today i did not take any or buy anymore to take. I have gone days with out having them. maybe one or two, but always bought more.  I disconeccted with any supply i was able to get.

The #1 reason i NEED to stop is my health. Second, the money... I have never been stupid enough to speed more then i was able to but still if you only knew the $$ i spent on them.

So this is day one going i day two. I will not fall into temptations. I have stopped before in the past and when i was not taking them i felt great, it lasted mostly 1-2 weeks, but i have always went back to them.

I graduated college a few weeks ago i need to get my mind cleared and focused on the future. I am just happy to get this off my chest, In the past few days i finally relized that i had a problem, a real problem.

any info anyone can give me to stay away from them would be great

Thanks

First of all Congratulations on graduating college and stopping the pills!  What did you major in?  The only advice I can give you is what you said in your post, about getting your head straight and the money!  Set a goal for yourself, say to save a certain amount of $, and when you reach it, set it a little higher and so on.  It will help you concentrate on not spending the $, because you are trying to reach a goal...you know what I mean?

I wish you the best of luck and keep us updated :)

Congrats on taking control of you life! Something to think about is aftercare. It is great that you stopped but something made you keep going back in the past. Even if its just posting, you need to have some kind of plan.
Best of Luck! You can do this, just take it one day at a time! and congrats on finishing your degree :))

I am quiting cold turkey. I do i have a Rx of xanax so that is helping tonight. I took 2. I was at work at day/night so i was able to keep my mind busy untill i got to the end of my shift and was craving the Vikes. I got past it and got done and came home. Tonight was a big step for me and tommrow will be an even bigger one.

I do workout everyday so that will help... I believe i am emotionally strong enough to NOt take them. I hope so anyways

I just need to go a full 7 days without taking them and buying them and i will be ok. I was spending close to $150 a week on them. I could do so much with $600 a month and instead i spent it on pills.

i just feeel so stupid and wasted so much time being high, all i wanted to do was sit home and be alone but i was happy, felt great "high" but the next day i wake up and think about what time i can take them today.

You just have to keep this in mind while geting off the pills, YOU WILL FEEL NORMAL AGAIN, i promise. Thats what i would always think while i was geting off, just wondering if i would feel the way i did when i took pills to feel normal and you do. Stay with this site for sure it helps a ton. When you get through a day just think one day closer and you do not wana start from scatch again.

anyways good luck, you will survive, just be strong, and no matter what your body is telling you you dont need drugs
