I have given up every single medicine that I was on with the exception of Xalatan for my glaucoma and the Lorezapen for sleep. I have not taken any of my asthmatic puffers, pills and whatevers for a month and no problems there so far. All the othr prescriptions and over the counters are in a box in my closet. The problem with having too many drugs is that it doesn't really allow you to see what effect some are making or if there is any effect at all. It is easy for one drug to mask the the effectiveness of another or to show that the other is just not working. For instance. I have been on asthmatic medicines of all shapes and sizes. Sanbtamol, Advair, Combivent, Surgam, Singulair Diclofenac etc. etc etc. In some cases four or five at a time. How on earth can you tell if any are being effective if one of them is hiding what another is doing. So, one at a time. Despite the fact that I was taking all the asthmatic drugs I was prone to as many s seven or eight lung infections every year from asthma. Now the real test begins, and that is to see if each drug, used induvidully, will give me the true story.
