Tramadol & Weening

I was wandering if there are people out there who have successfully weened themselves off of Tramadol?  If so, could you tell me a little about your story and how you did it and any suggestions you might have?  I am currently trying to ween off of tramadol because I found out that I am expecting.  I'm only 6 weeks along.  Avisg is trying to help me ween and I'm ever so grateful for that.  Weening isn't easy and any advice or words of encouragement would be great right about now.  
Also, I know going c/t off of tramadol isn't recommended but, can going c/t harm a pregnancy/baby?  When I got my dose low enough, I was hoping to just stop taking it all together.  
Anything anyone can share would be great!

hey. I'm a out 4 weeks pregnant.  only been on tramadol for 3 month. I was taking 4 per day 200mg. then went down to 3 per day as I found out I'm pregnant.  then from 3 to 2 and from 2 to nothing. my all body hurts and I feel like crap.won't it affected baby if I just stop like that?

First know that you can do this.  I am on day 15 of quitting cold turkey.  I had taken tramadol for over 4 years for neck and lower back disc issues.  Never once thought about being addicted to these stupid pills.  For me, cold turkey was the only way.  I would try to taper and it never happened.  I could see where cold turkey could be dangerous with such an early pregnancy.  I had pretty severe stomach issues and ran a fever.  Also, sleep can be an issue and at least I could take something to help with that.  Plus, there could be other issues.  Can you talk to your doctor about this?  I didn't see the amount you were taking before finding out you were pregnant.

I do know one thing...life will be better for you when you kick this monster out the door.  I am terrified and saddened by how many lives are being touched by this drug.

I am pretty much through the physical pain (except for the pain that got me started on this stuff) of the withdrawal.  It is the mental battle right now....

awww hun I know you are struggling right now it will get better remember the pay off will be a healthy baby .Yes CTing of the amount of tram you are on could be harmful to the baby .  I will send this post on to someone that I think would be great for you to talk to .Keep your chin up...
