Tramadol addiction

I have been on tramadol for five years. I told my doctor I did not want any more prescribe to me because it has taken over my life.  My doctor has given me medicine for the brain zaps, anxiety pills for the depression and crying.  I had to take a week off my job because I am so tired.  I do not have the strength to comb my own hair. Does any one know how long the tiredness last and what can I take to get some energy.  It has been seven day since I have taken any tramadol. I was taking 12-50 mg a day.  I knew I could not wean off because I tried so many times in the past.  I just want to know how long does the withdrawals last especially being so tired will last.  Maggie

I am on day 23, stil hanve bouts of tiredness and the buggy feeling at night. it is getting better however, I go to the gym daily now, watch what I eat (no caffine of sugars). I still get bouts fo the trots and chills and of course the hot sweats. I just keep pluging aloge now, thake time and it seems to differ some with each person. Tramadol is a very bumpy road.

Tramadol is a hard one to come off especially when you go CT.  The lack of energy seems to hang on for awhile.  Try and get up and move around as much as you can.  Gotta get those natural endorphins working again.  Make sure you are drinking plenty of fluids also.  Keep talking with us as we are here for support~~sara
