Tramadol withdrawal

Can anyone tell me if cymbalta along with colonidine will help at all with tramadol withdrawal im on my first day of cold turkey and someone handed me these meds and said these would help please let me know as soon as possible im in a dark place right now but i am dam determined to succeed at this effort Thank You.

Never a great idea to take someone else's medication.  But you already know  that, right?  Clonidine is an old medication that has been around for a long time.  It's been used for withdrawal, as well as for nerve pain control, and some people have found it very helpful.  There are worries with it, though, as it does affect blood pressure.  There have also been problems with people having rebound hypertension when they come off it, which is why it should be taken under supervision.

As for the Cymbalta, I would seriously doubt it would help.  It takes time to build up in your system.  It's an antidepressant and also used to treat certain types of pain.  Just a word of caution:  I was put on that for nerve pain and I had an adverse affect and was spiraled into a very dark depression.  If I hadn't known about the med, I don't know what would have happened.

You're better off doing the Thomas Recipe.  What are your symptoms?  Tramadol can be very difficult to come off because it has two components to it, the narcotic part and the similar to an anti-depressant part.  It really shouldn't be stopped abruptly due to seizure risk.  Can you talk to your doctor about this?
