Me again. My Dr gave me Ultram, but he know s about my addiction to Hydro's. Is this ok? are these not good to take,? I have 40 pills, should I not take these pills during my detox at home? I don't want to mess this up this time.

thanks.

yea hey, my DR just gave me 120/50mg trams because i missed a **** test & have 2 "get back right with the pain mang. team" in order to get my previously rx' hydro 10/500 & 2 /20mg oc's for my back. anyway, i have taken 2-3 at atime just to see if i felt a "buzz" trust me the last thing i want is a "monkey" that really ain't worth a cuss. i didn't feel much anything excect it did help a headache. QUESTION:what is the reason people take it enough to get strung out & how much and how long do you have to take it? why go thru so much hell for that,i mean no more a high than tylenol (plain)

thank you very much. I will NOT be taking the Ultram/Tramadol. So why would my Dr. give them to me, he's aware of my addiction. I can't believe this.

Withdrawal
Withdrawal symptoms may occur if ULTRAM is discontinued abruptly. (See DRUG ABUSE AND DEPENDENCE.) These symptoms may include: anxiety, sweating, insomnia, rigors, pain, nausea, tremors, diarrhea, upper respiratory symptoms, piloerection, and rarely hallucinations. Other symptoms that have been seen less frequently with ULTRAM discontinuation include: panic attacks, severe anxiety, and paresthesias. Clinical experience suggests that withdrawal symptoms may be avoided by tapering ULTRAM at the time of discontinuation.

Physical Dependence and Abuse
ULTRAM may induce psychic and physical dependence of the morphine-type ( -opioid) (see DRUG ABUSE AND DEPENDENCE). ULTRAM should not be used in opioid-dependent patients. ULTRAM has been shown to reinitiate physical dependence in some patients that have been previously dependent on other opioids. Dependence and abuse, including drug-seeking behavior and taking illicit actions to obtain the drug, are not limited to those patients with prior history of opioid dependence.

Don't take the ultram/tramadol. I was addicted for almost 3 years to the stuff. I'm 20 days ct. Look up the thomas recipe, it has helped me. Some drs are misinformed about ultram.
