True Hydrocodone Withdrawls

Ive been taking 10/325's or whatever hydro I can get on and off for many many years. My addiction has slowly gone up to 12/18 pills a day....I am always going through w/d's because I can't afford to keep up with myself. Anyways on the 1st day of no pills I just get aggitated. The 2nd day starts the bad diahreah and nausea. Sometimes I throw up, sometimes I just dry heave. Things smell different, everything smells gross...even freshly wanshed blankets. I get hot and cold flashes and I sweat through my hands and feet which drives me crazy and my face and armpits. I have no desire to eat which is weird because otherwise I love to eat.  Days 2 and 3 are the same and thats when I can usually get more. But for me withdrawls are very gross. I would imagin that is because of the amount I am taking because when I withdrew from 4 or 5 pills a day it was never this bad. I always go CT and don't take any other meds. I am never scared to go through wd's because I know the drill by now...so if anyone is about to go through hydro wd's...don't be scared. Just expect to feel like s**t for about a week. My question is has anyone detoxed completely from this dose and how long did it take to start feeling better? Or had similar wd simptoms?

Listen to Ga Guy here - - thats the way it is. I was taking a similar amount of hydro - but I also had methadone in the mix and thats a wild card. Its taken me around 18 months to get back to where I am and where I used to be. I am sure that the methadone has something to do with the time element - - but you need to plan on living without them. Getting comfortable with withdrawing isnt the best answer..............

Every symptom you've described is classic withdrawal symptoms. There's nothing to do but push through them. You will feel better physically, but only with time. The worst of the physical withdrawal symptoms will get better after 5-7 days. It will continue on and off (especially stomach issues and fatigue) for a month or so for most people. The mental aspect will be with you forever. Addiction is a chronic disease with no cure. Please, find some sort of aftercare and plan for the life after withdrawals. Good luck.
