Two weeks down...

I've made it two weeks and I'm feeling better than I have in a long time.  My pain seems to be a lot more manageable than it has in a long time.  I still can't figure that one out, but hey...  I'm not complaining.

The remaining symptoms are primarily GI related.  Its been settling down some, but I can't wait till I'm done with that side of it.

Still not looking back...

Matt

The mental side of things has come a long way.  I was having a really hard time staying on track with things before I got off the meds.  I think things have gotten better since then.  Hard to say.  I'm being more productive at least.

As for energy levels, I've been tired, but I'm forcing myself to get out and move.  I'm running every other day...  Nothing like I used to be able to do, but I'm doing about 1.5 miles in 22 minutes.  There was a time that I could do that in half the time, but that will be a while yet.  Also, I've set myself up under the 100 situps and 200 pushups training programs.  I figure that if I'm going to replace  the pills with something, it should be as healthy as possible.

As for emotional...  Its been a real trip.  About three days in, I started having extremely intense dreams that started digging up a lot of things from the last 20 or so years that I would have rather left buried.  Things like moving away from the first love.  Losing my best friend to a horrible accident.  Even the good things, like getting married and becoming a father, were wearing me out.  That lasted about a week and then stopped for a while and then has come and gone since.  Hopefully that, too, will fade.  Waking up every morning reliving the same intensity of emotion that I felt when it was happening was rough.

Anyway...  I'm getting better each day.

Great job, I'm a day behind you. I too still have the GI issues How's your mental game and your energy levels?  My head still feels like a balloon a good part of the day and concentration is a chore. Energy still way low, and I'm emotionally flat/empty.
