Tylenol 3 and pregnant. quit cold turkey? or taper?

hi there, i just found out that i'm approx 11 weeks pregnant & have been taking tylenol 3 on a daily basis. I've seen so many different opinions on quitting while pregnant, I'm super confused on what to do....and don't have an obgyn appointment for another couple of weeks. I don't want to harm my unborn child in any way, which is better for the both of us..to quit cold turkey? or to taper off?
Thank you

It's a lite addiction even less than vicodin. You should be able to stop cold and depending how many you were taking, It should be a lot better for your baby without the tylenol

I fully agree with sarah and Guy....... but I also wanted to point out that codeine is probably the best narc that I can think of to put down.  Its a weak narcotic and the withdrawals (depending upon history..)  are relatively minor compared to something like oxycodone.  keep us posted with your progress........and if you want to give a better history - it wouldnt hurt..

This is something only your doctor will be able to answer. We're just not qualified to answer that. Call your doctor and ask for an earlier appointment.
