Update

I'm just a little over a month and and a half clean from Vicodin and yesterday was a HUGE milestone. I saw a new Doctor yesterday and on my paper work I requested a "non-narcotic" healthcare plan and I laid it all out for him...

He stood up and shook my hand and said "I commend you for being up front"

I stayed paralyzed with fear and guilt for far to long and for what? I'm so glad I unleashed that demon off my soul!

Thanks guys it did feel pretty good I was nervous as he!! going in but honesty paid off.

I figured while I was on a kick I may as well fess up and tell my mother I was skimming her pills a few months ago. Her reply was "I know."  I asked why she never stopped me and she said "I know you better than you know yourself and I knew you'd come to your senses and fess up eventually."

Guess I wasn't fooling anyone lol

FREEEEE DOM!!!!  Getting a commendation for honesty.......that'll fill your gas tank.......Good for you!  Usually....not always of course, but generally,
what we "put out" is what comes back to us.

Honesty is first in the HOW it works acronym for Honesty Openmindedness and Willingness for a good reason.  I, too, told my last dr (dentist actually) and sang all the way home! No more mental handcuffs.
Keep workin it.....cause it works IF we work it~

That is awesome.  Your dr. probably gets a lot of people that lie to get pills he was probably glad you were honest and didn't try the wool over his eyes.  Glad your doing so well.  That is something to be very proud of.

It's really amazing how everyone is very appreciative and impressed when you are up front and honest about your addiction...that's the response I got when I told the pharmacy not to fill any narcotics for me...the pharmacist just told me how great that was and how brave I was...it feels so great to say "no narcotics for me". Good for you to take the necessary precautions early on.....that is very commendable.  Good work!!!!

Congrats on coming clean to your doc...have dreamed of being able to do this nd just haven't had the b***s to do it.  Let us know how it goes...am anxious to hear how he manges you.
