VICODIN & YOUR LIVER..?????

This might seem like a kinda weird question but since i am clean now 22 days today..i was just wondering does anyone know how long does it take to heal the liver .i just was wondering cause pretty munch half the pill taking world does mix it with alcohol so now i am just wondering, will it fix itself and how long does it usually take.I mean i do feel way better having been clean now 22 days but this question just came in my head so i figured maybe someone knows something about it.well thanks and god bless.jeff. and thanks to who answered me even though i posted in the wrong place ...and yeah i know i do need the blood work but no insurance as of now so was just asking, funny how you don't care when your on them but then when reality hits your like WHAT WAS I DOING...LOL....PRETTY DU MB HUH..???

i will as soon as i can, thank you and to roughroad yeah i did a lot of reading on that today and think i will pick some up cause i can't afford blood work right now and no insurance and it seems that milk thistle gets great ratings on the sites i visited .i know 22 days ago i would have not giving a sh it about this now look at me guess once your head clears up the real thinking begins huh...lol...thanks again ,you all are great and i wouldn't be where i am today without this place it really helped..god bless you all...

Hey Jeff first off it a good consirn and I agree with vicki go to the doctor and have the lab work done....it will put you mind at ease and may save your life....that being said I also know what its like not having ins and how expensive things like this can be....just know the human body is very resilient I abused pills and alcohol for many years and have had the blood work done and have suffered no permanent damage so more the likely your fine but as a whole on the forum we always recommend a full physical complete with blood work as soon as you can after detoxing just for safety sakes.......good luck and God bless.......Gnarly

Jeff~  I answered you on the other forum...

Basically,get some lab work done to test liver function. It's a routine blood test ordered by your doctor.   Your liver may actually be fine.  It's pretty resilient and is capable of regenerating.  Don't worry. Get some lab work done.

I was wondering the exact same thing!
I have been taking milk thistle and dandelion root supplements everyday to assist my livers recovery....but I would love to know how long my poor liver will need to heal. I drank on vicodin too.
