I know that opiates restrict circulation. Ate 3 months off norcos, I don't think it's directly related to opiates, but possibly indirectly related. I know it took a while for me to stop having those light headed moments. I have slowly increased my cardio exercise, and it seems to be helping. If there is not detectable cause, I'd try to strengthen the heart, lungs, and vascular system. B vitamins, minerals, and lots of fiber help heal and clean you out. Avoid corn syrup, like soda, candy, processed foods, and stimulants, like coffee, tea, soda. Combined with an exercise program to build cario strength, these things may help, they won't hurt anyway. I hope you feel better soon.
I've had this problem for a long time, way before I took opiates. Mine would last for a day or longer. For me, it's an inner ear thing combined with wind and allergies.
I also have low blood pressure and have to remember to get up slowly and not turn my head suddenly. This also has nothing to do with opiate use, had it for many years prior.
Sounds to me like what they call "postural hypotension" ..... blood pressures can change with body movements. It is usually experienced when standing up too rapidly. But it can occur with most any type of movements. Typical advice is to take it a little more easily....stand or kneel quite slowly. And yes, it happened to me....
