I'm in the same boat. I'm on day 9 of Vicodin w/d's too. I started taking the for severe depression, so I am psychologically addicted to them. The worst is over physically, but mentally, it will probably take me a couple more weeks to start leveling out in my mind.
Once the w/d's are gone, you'll feel much better! Good Luck!
Thanks for all of the information and support... it really helps to know there are others experiencing the same hurdles!
Whatever you do, don't take anymore vicoden. You should be just about done with the w/d symptoms. You may also notice that you are a little more emotional or depressed than you usually are. That is also normal for w/d from opiates and it will also pass. Doesn't sound like you are psychologically addicted to them, just that you have become physically dependent on them which makes a big difference. You are wise to seek other alternatives for pain control now, before your use gets beyond control.
Hang in there Raybo2...I myself have been on Vic's for 2+ years and I have just come clean. I am on Day 9.. I am happy to tell you the improvement for me over day 6 is amazing. I actually started feeling signifigantly better on day 7. The only obsticle has been sleeplessness. SO do not give in and keep posting and reading.

What you are feeling is called withdrawal from opiates, yes it is horrible but trust me it will end,you should be hitting the downhill slope anytime now some symptons will hang on longer than others everyone is different.Try the thomas recipie and amino acid protocol listed in the health pages on the right of this page.As to what it will feel like to live without the haze? It will be the most wonderful feeling in the world believe me,no more will you be a slave to the drugs, and life will be so much more enjoyable.Being clean is the greatest gift in the world and that is what you deserve.Good luck to you and keep posting to let us know how you are doing

i think that you need to have a talk with your doctor, tell them that you need something non-narcotic to control your asthma (actually, he should have d/c the hycodan syrup when the asthma was diagnosed) theres alot of really great new meds to control your breathing problems. second, not sure how much you were taking...but day you should start feeling better sooner than later, but, yeah...that's all normal withdrawal, keep on keeping on!
