Vicodin during pregnancy

I am 26 weeks pregnant and havev beeen prescribed vicodin for over a year. as soon as i found out i was pregnant i lowered the amount i take but i dont want to take them at all. I have severe fibromyalgia and buergers disease among other things and am in severe pain constatntly. My doctors wanted to prescribe me oxys but i refused. My OB knows i take them and says its ok because teh pain prevents me from taking care of my other children who are only 2 and 3 but i dont think i should. i would rather be in the most pain possible than have something wrong with my baby. So whenever i talk to her about stopping them she doesnt agree. i want to and am going to but need to know if the withdrawals from taking 4-5 vicodin 10mg a day will effect the baby in utero. To me it is better to do it now rather than later when the baby is dependent but it is hard when your doctor is saying it is ok. HELP!! i just need to know if the withdrawals from this and stopping basically cold turkey will effect the baby?

Dont go CT off the meds while you are pg.  That can cause alot of problems if you do.  Your doctor needs to be on board with this.  They can help you with a taper plan.    sara
