Today is my 4 th day off of the Vicodin, I feel like the physical symptiom are starting to subside. I slept better, but I have to go to work this morning. Can someone tell me what are some things you are doing to actually stay off totally. Do people really find that excersice helps as I just bought a new treadmill. I wish everyone here well and I like this forum and am glad I found it because I just need to understand that I am not alone and won't be criticized. I will look forward to hearing from you.

Usually 4-5 are the bad days and within a week you will think you will live life again. It takes time to heal. Be patient.
I just wondered how long it really takes totally get through the physical withdrawals and I haven't taken a vicodin at all for the last 3 days. Sometimes I think I actually want them even though I know I really can tolerate the pain. What do people do to just stay away from them if you crave them?
I'm not sure about the Darvon not being as addictive. It really depends on how you use it.
Since you don't take that many, physical withdrawals should be light. They shouldn't be bad becasue you only take 1-2 pills per day, but the length of time you've taken them may make them a little worse. Do you crave the vicodin or darvon or is it just as needed for pain? If you are concerned about withdrawals, then start cutting your pills in half, and only take that. Slowly taper your dose and even cut them in quarters if you can. If you do that, you may have very little withdrawal symptoms. Good luck!
