What is happening with me?

So my cat already took once 800mg DXM, and 1 month later tried 500mg of dimenhydrinate, so the 3rd time(4 days ago) he took 100ml of Diacol(= 185mg DXM) and 13 Vomidrine pills(=650mg dimenhydrinate =325mg of diphenhydramine) and the following happened:

My cat's weight and age: 59kg - 19y/o
He's a healthy cat, does cardio a lot and kickboxing, also lifts a bit.

10:30 my cat ate breakfast

11:00 my cat took 13 Vomidrine pills

11:40 he took 100ml of Diacol

He did nothing but chill and wait for it to kick in, didn't lunch
It took 3 hours to kick in which is unusual

Around 14:00 it started to kick in, but very slowly, he remmembers his heart pounding hard and fast at this point.

Around 15:30 he noticed heart rate was slow for someone who took 650mg of dimenhydrinate. Last time he did it he remmembers his heart pounding hard and fast the whole time.

Around 16:00 his friends noticed he had gotten really pale on the skin and lips also he wasn't feeling too well, he felt his chest burning and he started to sweat like crazy and was only 22ºC with no sun.

The cat's friends called an ambulance they did blood tests, measured heart rate/blood sugar/tension and at the hospital did an electrocardiogram. They said everything is ok with him. Even though his chest was still burning a bit and he had needle like pains all over his stomach area. They connected the serum to the cat's bloodstream and let it drip a while before letting him go. Didn't do much for the pains.

Now, 4 days latter, my cat is feeling his chest hurting just a bit and disconfortable constantly. Not the whole time but sometimes he feels good then he feels it hurting and disconfortable. What the f*** did this do to my cat and is this permanent?

w/ds means Withdraws..Your body will go through he111 to get these toxins out. SO happy to hear that you will not be doing this anymore. Just be Safe and Be Good to your Mind, Body & Soul.

yes it is over, delirium is not funny and drinking cough syrup is not so easy as it seems.

"...and a w/d..." what is a w/d?

Why??
That is very Additive behavior that can kill you.

I do not think you did any harm this time to your Brain/Body..The one motion sickness/nausea I had been given yrs ago and it knocked me out. The cough syrup can knock you respiratory system down too. Let alone what you are putting your poor nervous system through.I think you had a lil overdose and a w/d at the same time. PLZ do not continue doing this. Next time you might not be so lucky. Wishing you the best!!

"It could be that what you took did do a number on your heart"
I also think that but the electrocardiogram sayd everything was ok with my heart. But I wouldn't be surprised if it did, i don't do this kinds of things and the dosage i took were not for newbies, so my tolerance was low.

"Whats up with those meds?"
Diphenhydramine is a OTC medication used for motion sickness and nausea. It also causes hallucinations and dellirium in a high dose.
Dextromethorphan or DXM is a OTC cough suppressant, in high doses is a dissociative and hallucinogenic.
With the research i did, i found that mixing a bit of one with a high dose of another would potentiate the effects of the one in high dose.

Yes, but i'm already off, this was the most scary thing in my life, i thought i was going to die. Chest burning, pale, sweating, fear of suddenly closing my eyes and everything ends. Not cool.

"Welcome to post but I think we need more info"
Sure, what else do you want to know?

I just want to know if anybody knows what this did to my body is permanent.

Ya I got it. I heard that word all the time in the 60s and up..Ha!

As a person who has CAD I would just keep an eye on it. It could be that what you took did do a number on your heart, but not so much to damage anything. It sounds to me as if it is still trying to heal a bit after the last thing that happen. Just Be Safe and go to the DR if it does not let up. Whats up with those meds?? Are you using them for the heck of it or do you have a Drs order for them? This community welcomes anybody, but just so you know, WE have all kicked our drug habits and are here to Support anybody who wants off to. Not sure what's UP?? YOU are more then Welcome to post but I think we need more info. Just Be Safe!!

Your cat works out and told you his heart pounds?
You are already anonymous?
No need to say it is anyone but you.

Guess there's no longer a way to report these things in the new format (maybe I'm missing it -- but I can't find it on my laptop).

Poster: If this is (somehow) genuine, there's a pet forum.
