What is suboxone?

I have read on here several post that people are using this to come off of high doses of opiates?? Is it an over the counter thing or a prescription? I am currently taking up to 100mg of 10/325 norcos and want to stop.....just curious what suboxone is. Don't really want to go to the doctor for help though....still trying to admit to myself that I can do this alone.....

DO NOT take suboxine!!!!!!!! I was a hydro head and if you take the withdrawl it will be about 5 -7 days at the most, but if you start the sub's you will go thrru what I just did. Im currently on day 12 15  hours in to be exact, and I still feel it a bit. So take it from me the 4 days of HELL are better than 12 days of HELL, right?  Your a stronger person than you think!!!  You will get thru it. I went thru hydro WD's 3 times and it was tough for the first 3 day and after that the sun was shining and I was happy as ****!!!  Im still waiting for the damn sun tom rise, lol  WT Hell is taking so damn long!  Sub's are for people that feel WD's even with there pain pills. So your the lucky one even if you dont feel so lucky!  YOU CAN DO IT HUN!!! I DID!!!  This site will get you thru!!!!!

There's a wealth of information on Suboxone  on the internet, just google it. In my personal experience it's no better than Methadone. Your just replacing one opiate for another. And using it to come off norcos would be like putting out a fire with oil. On the other hand it does work for people that taper because the withdrawals are less severe than Methadone. If you have insurance it can be cost effective, but if not, it's very expensive, 50-100 dollars per doctor visit and 7 dollars a pill at the pharmacy.
