What to do for pain

I am stopping methadone but i also have a rx at the pharmacy for norco....should i fill it or let it be? I have horrible pms and will need something for it when it hits! Is ambien alright to take to sleep also?

Thanks everyone i wont get them.and yes i took the ambien justbfor sleep a few hrs ago but the dreams were so vivid i couldnt sleep well or long anyway. And i had that scrip b4 i started back on methadone. But im not gonna go get them......thanks again everybody. Im feeling sort of okay right now.....just want sleep without havingto take another darn pill!

Hi over opiates gave some great advice!  Another option you can try is ibuprofen. I take prescription strength (800mg) and it works like a charm! OTC ibuprofen is 200mg,,,so I take 4. I get terrible PMS as well but the lortabs will make it doubled 1000 times. They are a depressant.  Coming off methadone is a huge step! You should be very proud of yourself.  I just don't want to see you go back down that road,,the lortabs will turn into methadone quickly and then you've fallen back in the rabbit hole. thanks for the tip over.  i had no idea about the excedrin.  i love learning new things.  

and i have to agree. if you are coming off of meth.  norco is the wrong direction to take.

Dont get the norco thats definitely a HUGE step n the wrong direction(ESPECIALLY since ur getting off the meth).Also as crazy as it might sound excedrin works better4pms symptoms(cramps,lack of energy,period headaches etc)way better than norco(I know Ive tried them all n the past(lortab,lorcet,vikes,oxycodone,norco,all OTC PMS+pain killers excedrin works best even10X better than the PMS specific pills).Ur an addict why would u torture urself w/han available script of opiates?#1:U dont need norco4ur period,I had the WORST periods w/painful cysts I was even prescibed soma by my ***@**** works better than those too.#2:CANCEL THAT SCRIPT.If ur getting off meth why do u even have a script4norco?If ur taking meth daily it these r not really prescibed2gether.PLEASE dont take this the wrong way but I feel ur looking4a reason2get the norco+justify it.As addicts thats how we r.As4 sleeping aids I hear taking ambien for long periods of time they can b habit forming.Do u just want the ambien just4a fe days,occasionally of everynight?
