From my personal experience, make sure that your withdrawls are fully underway before starting suboxone. My eyes were watering, I was yawning a lot, constantly stretching, etc so my doctor assumed that my w/d symptoms were severe enough to start taking suboxone. He ended up being wrong, so the suboxone I took ended up forcing my body to go thru withdrawl, which was a very very uncomfortable situation.
I had doubts when he told me to take my 1st dose, because I knew what REAL withdrawl symptoms felt like (crazy anxiety, incessant restless leg, etc etc etc), but I didn't speak up because I figured he knew what he was doing.
Please remember that this was only MY experience. Everyone seems to have a different experience when it comes to subox, so take what I've said with a grain of salt. My oxy habit was pretty bad, so my doctor to this day uses that as the reason for why my suboxone inpatient went much tougher than expected. To keep it in perspective, the lady in the room across from me supposedly was taking 240-320mg oxy per day and her suboxone inpatient went like a dream... for 20-30min she felt a bit uncomfortable, but after that she was eating again within a few hours. So that just goes to show you that different people can have totally different experiences.
That's my2c. I hope my post is what you were looking for (experiences). Good luck and please keep in touch!
