What type of pain and seizure meds. are safe to take during pregnancy?

congrats on the 50 days i know it feels more like 500 sometimes I've had a good bit of clean time b/4 and once its gone its hard to get back especially when u need meds.  remember keep doin the next right thing!!!!!

Hi, I'm 15wks pregnant and I've been taking Lortabs which use to be prescribed for degenative disk disease .I told my DR. that they were still being prescribed b/c I had to take a drug test.I was also prescribed Valium for my seizures which I also told her and recently I've been taken off of them,but haven't quit taking the Xanax b/c I'm severely addicted to them and sometimes take 10-15mg a day then some days don't take any or sometimes just 1or 2.I've abused these meds. b/4 & since I've been pregnant more so with the binzodiazaphines such as (Valium,Xanax,Klonipin,etc.). I've told myself the same thing I've read some of some of u say  "well since there prescribed it's safe to take"and used that to justify my actions,but I abuse them and i feel so guilty,but between my pain,seizures,and addiction I'm....lost.I'm worried a/b my baby and what will be wrong at birth like defects both mental & physical an also withdrawal. I've researched all the meds I've been taking,and they all say"May cause birth defects".N/E way I'm so glad I found this place & please n/e one who has any advice suggestions or comfort write back.Also a/b asking these doctors ?'s do i post my ?'s 4 them here to?
