Good for you. I have something of similar problem. I've had 4 hip surgeries in 2 years, so have been on lortab on/off a lot. The 'euphoria' really just makes me feel normal. I've fought major depression all my life (tried every pill in the book) and the only time I feel NORMAL is when I take 2 7.5 lortab. I even told my shrink that - if I could take those everyday, I could function better, feel normal, and live like the rest of the world. She said"well move to England, you can do it there legally." So my problem is, I know I'm addicted (or will be) to lortab, but I don't care - NOTHING FEELS WORSE THAN THE HOPELESS DEPRESSION I FACE DAILY. If surviving means taking lortab daily, then so be it. Now I know few of you will answer this, but I'm just amazed at these posts where you all talk about how many pills you're taking - where in the world do you get them? My orthopedist gives me 5mg lortab, 30 of them every two months. I'm in the midst of where hurrican Katrina hit, and most of our MDs left, and we never did have a 'feel good' docter here who handed out prescriptions. When my hip heals, I'll be back at the gym asap and that helps with my depression a lot. But for now, if I want to keep my job and function normally, I need those lortabs (I have none now). I have no way to get any, so that means I'm looking at a life of depression and crying when I drive to work because a black cloud of depression encloses my body. Hasn't anyone else felt like this?
Thanks...I so needed my life back...and I'm doing fairly well...don't really want the drugs cause they turn me off...just wanna feel like my old self...my old old old pre oxy self.
Thanks for the encouraging words...they mean a lot!!
10 days is great....give it some time you will feel better...load up on your vitamins...b6..b12...a good multi and vitamin c....good luck dee
That was alot of oxy you poured into your body so still hurting some after 10 days should be no surprise. Your body has all it's alarm's going off trying to figure out how to fix itself after years of abuse and neglect, so just hang in there and understand that it is different for each person in their recovery time. Just keep being healthly and some exercise and maybe work on triming down if you need to drop a few pounds and that should add to some energy for you. Keep posting and let us know as you improve.
Thanks...That makes sense...I know that the oxy's slow down ur BP and your Resp. System...Good Luck No name22!!!
=)
I think the sweating is caused because you're blood pressure gets higher aswell as you're body temp. I'm guessing that, because ALOT of people are prescribed clonidine which is a blood pressure med. and it helps ALOT! So if you can try to get some from you're dr. and let them know whats going on....Lack of appetite is normal when I quit the few times I did I had no want for food at all...There's a think called the thomas recipe which is something i'm going to try this week, mostly vitimans.
