Who Sneezed Alot After Quitting?

It's been 2 months off Methadone and I'm still sneezing 100 times a day. Also, my feet are constantly freezing. Anyone know why or experienced the same thing?

ha, weird I NEVER got sick with anything during the time I was using.. almost doesn't make sense, you would think pain meds are hard on your immune system... my cough is deadly for sure, and I know smoking isn't helping. on my way to a bad case of bronchitis I'm sure..I'll go to the doctor if it doesn't go away in a couple days. I've been hacking my butt off for 10 days or so now. ... and Tuck, I hope you stop sneezing soon, that part bugged the **** out of me too.

I would bet my life that it is why your cold is so bad.

Research it and ask for info from the nurses here.

Lung illnesses such as bronchitis is the most common illness after detoxing from opiates.  I got really sick about 3 weeks after detox, took my meds and got well, then relapsed w/an even worse case of bronchitis.  The cough was deadly man.

I had a 6 year addiction, and thinking back, never...ever....once....remember getting sick with even a cold.  If I maybe had one, didn't feel bad, cuz pills made me feel good.  Also, hydro is great for coughs.

Go figure.  Humph.

That is a long time to still be sneezing.  You know how we get flu symptoms in detox?  Well I really believe we do get the flu......detox flu.

Beware of the lung illnesses associated w/opiate detox.  It struck me twice during my 1st 3 months.  It's very common.

But hey....2 months....off of meth?  Great man!

Oh geez i sneezed so much in the beginning i thought i was going nuts.  I remember the cold feet too.  Nothing would take that away.  Seems the more socks i put on the colder they got.  I would take a blanket outside and sit in the sun and everything else warmed up except my feet!!!  Bet since i wrote this you have sneezed about 532 times!!!!  This will ease up............sara

Yes, me too --- sneezed constantly -- but then ALL of my other functions began to come to life - appetite, libido, and lots of things I had forgotten about - -both physically, mentally, and emotionally.  All the best.

Well you just let me know.My oldest son will be back from his hunting trip later tonight.I can sneak them out of his bag and overnight them to you.LOL  You know ,speaking of hunting, did you ever see those 'heat packs' they sell in stores? You just kind of break the stuff up in the pack and it stays hot for 6 hours or so,that might work for you. They sell them every where this time of year.Good luck...I hope you're feeling snug as a bug real soon.....Peace...Kim

I'm sitting here with three pair of diabetic socks on. I saw them at the store and thought these will work......nope. This is crazy. I may need your son's socks. You also described everything I have on right now and minus the tissues if my feet would warm up I would be snug as a bug.
