Why Do I Keep Doing This ????

Hey Yall,
Some of you may remember some of my past posts. Up untill  last Friday I had been doing really good. I have been on Subutex for 1 year. But then I screwed up again. I ended up getting 50 10mg methadone pills. I took 100mg of methadone a day  for 5 days.  ( I of coarse didnt take any Subutex during this time) My last dose of methadone was 100mg on Tuesday morning.  Today is Friday. My question is, Is it to early  to try to take the Subutex ? I have experianced the hell of Precipatated Withdrawls and I am absolutely terrified of going thru that again... PLEASE HELP !!!  Thanks So Much...

I agree with IBK and given your high dose of methadone I'd definitely tell your doc. You might have to wait a couple more days until your really I'm wds because of methadones long half life. Good luck and your right to be worried, taking it now especially if your not feeling sick could be a bad idea. Check with the doc..I know your probably dreading the idea of admitting you messed up but he'll understand and that way you can get proper direction as to when to go back on sub. I'd also suggest aftercare now if you haven't gotten anything going yet.

It is a violation of our guidelines to give out dosing instructions. Your best bet would be to speak with your prescribing doctor and get honest. I also suggest that you get outside support this time around. Just taking the Sub is not enough if you are not working on yourself. Good luck and let us know how you make out.
