I am also on valium Xanax and restoril- trigeminal neuralgia is the worst
You are right-the done was the worst. I went cold turkey after they gave me that to get off of the patches 4-6 weeks of agony. We take opiates for so long that we never feel we are going to be normal again- them it happens just scared that my brain is totally changed forever
Both do not contain hydromophone but anyway I am new to this and sorry if I come across cranky. Been on dilaudid for 4 yrs never i. V. Only oral but I agree fent patches were the hardest to come off of -- went crazy and did not abuse them they took me off them with methodone big mistake cold turkey and white knuckled that one lol I just feel that since I have been taking them for legit pain ( never matters- I think we all do at first for either physical or anxiety). Told dr yesterday dilaudid was too much he put me on t3's to taper. Go figure...
I agree Lu diladid was ruff but nothing compared to methadone I detox off dilidid 2 time was on 8mg and 12 mg the withdrawal was not ez but the recovery was faster I will say this about it your getting in prity deep with the pills if this is your drug of choice.....Gnarly
If you are referring to my post on your other thread-
I was speaking about dilaudid. Dilaudid and Vicodin are two different drugs but both have hydromorphone. Dilaudid is pure hydromorphone which makes for a cleaner shorter detox in comparison to a synthetic opiate like suboxone, oxycodone, methadone, or Tramadol.
I was by no means saying that is was EASY....Withdrawal is never EASY. But it is quicker and less painful than other synthetic opiates.
I was referring to the poster who said that dilaudid w/d was like heroin w/d. It is not quite as hard due to the manner in which it is ingested- IV versus oral.
Hope this clears it up!
At any rate...Congrats on your five days clean! You should be feeling much better physically in a few days and that's when it's a great idea to set yourself up with a good aftercare program.
Keep up the good work (:
Lu
I detoxed off of many different things except methadone over the years and I think what makes some of us say suboxone (one I withdrew from) is harder is it lasted forever. A month of dhiarreah and sweating and generally just feeling like a crazy person. I think it's the length of the detox that makes us say it was harder. Of course I jumped off at 8mg which is crazy but it's all relative to the individual and it's all hard!!!
Where did you hear that? Are you detoxing? I am confused by this post..sorry.
Hi, i was going to say exactly what sweetness has !!!
It was probably being compared to a much stronger drug.
Withdrawal is withdrawal....Maybe what they are referring to is the fact that methadone and Suboxone withdrawal lasts much much longer, making it harder to accomplish. Whereas Vicodin withdrawal is somewhat short compared to those two. I have withdrawn from both, and in my opinion, it was easier to detox from Vicodin because the symptoms only lasted a couple weeks if that. My methadone withdrawal took me a good 4-5 months to get over.
