Withdrawal From 4 Months On Suboxone

I began taking 30mg percocets last May. I got pretty deep, and ended up taking between 5-7 a day, sniffing them. I lost a lot due to them, including a girlfriend that I thought I loved, and ultimately a job. Basically, I finally realized around January or February of this year that I needed to get off, so I started taking suboxone when I was withdrawing. I withdrew from the percs for 2 days, but legitamately felt death coming on, so I took a half of an 8 mg sub. Since then, I have been buying them off of the street and taking anywhere between a half and one and a half (1/2 - 1 1/2) 8mg pills a day. So I guess it has been about 4-5 months since I started taking them. I work a serious job and cannot find the time to meet with a suboxone doctor, nor do I really want to because I now want to get off of them. I've read the same nightmare stories online that everyone else has read, and am really scared about withdrawing. I can't afford to be a mess in work, and my mind is mayhem in a normal state, let alone in withdrawal. I've heard suboxone withdrawal is the worst kind of withdrawal, and am basically looking for some help. I have some Neurontin and Clonidine at my disposal, as well as a full prescription to Klonipin.

I'm currently on basically 8mg of suboxone a day, self prescribed by buying them on the street. I know that's not going to last forever and I would just like to live a normal life again without any dependency. I am looking for any help with my withdrawal: possibly someone to personally talk to daily, a system that makes the withdrawal easier, etc. You can email me for personal information if you are willing to talk to me during my time of need.

Any help would be most appreciated, as I am extremely fearful.

If your WD'S only lasted 7 days you may have been good. These subs are s#*t,I tell you.In APR of 08 I screwed my back up at work.I do construction,so things like this tend to happen. My doc put me on vikes.I had been home from the navy for 6 months and looked my best weighing 175lbs at 5'11".I wasn't new to pills as I used to be in the restaurant business for 6 yrs and did them all including 5mg methadone pills for a year.I went in the navy weighing 135lbs.So the vikes started and were controlled until sept 08 when I broke my leg in 2 places, then in oct 08 my pap died and that crushed me.I had percs and vikes then and abused the hell out of them.I layed on the couch for 3 1/2 months until physical therapy started 1/09.I abused vikes(750's),perks(30's;I loved those blue guys) until oct 2011.My doc would just right scripts for vikes bc I would bs him and he trusted me.The 120 a month would last 7 to 10 days then I had to get vikes or perks or even subs off the street. In oct of 2011 I weighed roughly 142.When I went back to work after leg injury in may of 09 I was around 150lbs.In oct I decided I was done with this **** and went to the sub doctor:big, big mistake. The doc gives me 21 subs a week. For the first 1.5 months I took subs as prescribed. After 2 cig holes in my couch and around 15 in a blanket I put 2 &2 together. This **** is worse than any pain pill out there.I had done $1500 worth of 30's in a ten day period months before and never nodded like that,I had eaten 25 vikes in a day and never nodded like that.In Dec I decided 1.5 a day is to much too.I've taken a max of 1 aday for 4 months. My appetite is horrible I am at 135lbs again and hate mirrors.Last week I started taking a half a day.In a cpl of weeks I will take a 1/4 and so on.I've read about prolonged WDS,but I'm not sure if I believe it or not.Had I known in Oct what I now know about subs I would have never started.I asked my doc 3 months ago to prescribe me 14 a week, and he told me it's too soon.LOL,ya right. When I would WD from vikes or perks I would only take a half of sub,and that was plenty. All this doc did was get me on sub for his financial gain. The joke will be on him bc in no time I'm done with this and the blinders are now off as now my attention is getting off of this horrible pill that everyone claims is a "miracle".BS nobody addicted to pills that are weaker than subs should ever be prescribed this.SUBS ARE NOTHING BUT LEGALIZED HEROIN IN AN OCTAGON FORM!!!

I think the best plan is to make the time to see an a suboxone doctor to get the subs you need to get started on your taper as soon as possible.   i have a friend that just got 8 felony charges for buying undercover drugs.  She even has that surgery on your transchia.  So, it was obvious to this officer that she has pain.  Don't let that happen.  Don't get in trouble.  Then start to taper off these subs *** soon as you can.  They are a terrible, terrible drug in my opinion I(I am tapering down on them now).  But, ,we can do this, and being smart about it, is just good sense!!!
Warmly,
Marie

i went through withdrawl both before suboxone and after.  your not the only one.  right now i have 5 1/2 years with no opiates whatsoever.  if i can do it so can you.  no matter what you do, there is going to be some sort of withdrawl.  if you insist on doing it yourself and not getting them through a doctor, which i dont recommend, you need to slowly reduce your dose.  ex 8mg a day for 2 weeks.  4 mg a day for 2 weeks.  2 mg a day for 2 weeks.  2mg every other day etc.  and still after this there will still be withdrawl.  restless legs, fidgity etc.  try checking out NA meetings and meeting people that can give you advice, give you support.  its not easy but trust me in the end, when you can finally wake up and not have to take anything to feel "normal" again.... best day of your life.  good luck

How were your methadone withdrawals with that system/how did you feel as you tapered down and went every other day and every third day?

I wish I had a wonderful answer for you. You could plan your next step. Such as cutting the film into thirds and then instead of one whole one a day you take 2- thirds a day so you can ween your self down. You can also try going every other day when you get it cut down farther. When you get to the point you can do every other day no problem try for 3 while still cutting back your dosage strength. That's how I got off the methadone...all except the going every other day. I think that would have helped a lot.
