Withdrawal from Tramadol

I had TKR last August and have been described Tramadol for the pain, although the pain is going I am still taking the Tramadol and unable to come off them. If I do not take them I have severe withdrawal symtoms, feeling agitated, restless, having at times severe headaches, my joints ache and my legs shaky. I am arguing with my partner and end up in a very emotional state. Is there any way that will help me come off of this horrible drug and are anybody out there experiencing these symptoms.

Hi~  (Try to stay with one thread here)   Tramadol is difficult but doable. If you just stop, you will have withdrawal symptoms for a few day to a week. You can try to taper it back until you're taking nothing by having your partner dole out the pills to you. Also, you should let your prescribing doctor know about this and ask for a tapering plan.

There are a few folks here who have danced with this drug and they experienced the same type of symptoms. It's still a bit early here so hang on and others will be posting to you,I'm sure.
