The vicodin will not be banned.....at the very worst they will have less acetaminiphen in them....and its far from a done deal. Thats not the answer...... You can try some cleanses and detox ideas from the health food store. I would say that exercise and liquids are a good thing for you right now.........vitamin B-6 is a natural diuretic and aids urination...calcium/magnesium supplements help some people....also a commercial product called Hylands Restful Legs at WalMart.....hot/warm baths and showers are good....many of them for a few days....quite a few good ideas around here.....keep posting....
Hon, according to the news this morning, you may not have any choice but to quit the Vicodin, as an FDA panel is recommending that it become a banned drug, along with Percocet.
I don't know of any way to speed up the process, only on how to help cope while detoxing (withdrawl). I used Clonidine and a few tranzene to help with days 2,3,4 and day 5 I started to feel like I was gona make it.
I don't know how many you were taking a day nor how strong they were. Sometimes that makes a difference.
Stay hydrated with some gatoraid or viatamin water, try to eat, use the immodium when needed and benadryl for sleep. I don't know if you take something for sleep or a muscle relaxer. Some say that helps. Stay on here and read others posts and the previous pages too as sometimes there is help there on your type of drug withdrawl. Mine was Lortab (hydros).
Take care, post often and ask questions.
