Withdrawl from vicodin??

I have been taking Vicodin off and on for 2 years now. The last 6 months have gotten EVEN worse, where I was up to 20 a day. I Finally came clean with my husband, and handed over everything so he could help me taper down slowly.  This is my first day clean, and I'm going crazy already. Has anyone ever heard of the Thomas Recipe, and if it works at all?  Also, am I going to be able to live life normal for the next fews days, or am I going to be completely out?  Thanks for any advice, answers, etc.

your in w/d and actually maybe you are at your worse...if you can hang for a few more days feeling like this you'll have the physical part beat. Then comes the mind.
Take care of your body first. drink lots of water, get something for your somach, take tyenlol, you said you had valium? if so baby it. take enough to take the edge of b/c you will need it. .
call & make an appoinment to see a drug counslor. go to a meeting, find someone to trust
i use to take those damn things like candy, its' no wonder i have a liver left,
you don't want to go use again just stick it out

YES!!! I got extremely sick, and only took 2 y-day and started throwing up last night, but almost b/c of the vicodin instead? My main issue is that I have MAJOR anxiety without taking it, almost to the point of not being able to handle it, and the WORST part is.......I am sweating like CRAZY, ALL OVER, it's horrible!

i hit 6 months on the 6th...i was a hydro user for 4 years...up to 80-100 mg a day depending on how many i could get my hands on....i did a quick taper in 10 days til i had a 4 day weekend off work...got down to 40 mgthe 10th day..terible taperer and handed over my pills...iwas just so ready to get it done...good luck

So sorry to hear this..., I am sorry.
It's good that you tapered down.
You will feel all kinds of things now that their not being masked.
If your back hurt before, it will hurt again.
You are just more aware.
Did you feel sick the last 2 wks?
If  kinda, then maybe you already started withdrawl by taking less & less
everyone is different
drink lots of water, take baths. allot like the flu.

Worried878-I tapered down over a 2 week period and got down to about 3-4 a day at the end. Ok good, I got all of the stuff for the thomas Recipe last night/today. The Valium is REALLY helping. How long have you been clean, and was it Vicodin for you?

I am in MAJOR withdrawls right now. I'm having all of these phatom pains since I stopped taking them, is that normal?

how far did u taper down and how fast?  it would make a difference on how u feel and how long u feel bad...the thomas recipe and exercise was a life saver for me..follow it and it will increase ur chances of success...hang in there
