Worst day yet. . .
I have no ambition, no drive, I dont want to move!, Im still sick, and more emotional than ever! I have cried and cried and cried. . . What the f uckis wrong with me shouldnt this have subsided by now?!? But it only continues to worsen!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was on oxy for only a month. In that time I bcame addicted to the point where I was starting to reach for them without thinking. I decided to quit suddenly and did. It took me almost eight weeks to withdraw. I found that with each passing day it got easier and that was after the first two weeks. Don't stop now, keep it going and soon it will get easier. However, to be completely serious, don't expect to be free of it right away. it takes time and effort. You have managed seven tough days. If you have been able to get this far, going further should be no harder and will soon get easier. Don't get upset with anyone. Despite how some posts are not to your liking, there is truly no malice in them. Take every bit of advice with a grain of salt, but remember, when someone offers advice here it is usually meant to help.
I just don't get all the attacks on beach. All he does is try to help everyone on this board. Are there some posts missing above? Because, I cannot see anything inappropriate or rude on his part. I think if kit wants our help, the least she can do is show some appreciation for the people here trying to help her.
Avis -Thanks for being compassionate with a new person who is truly hurting and reaching out for help. Its your kind of caring that kept me coming back here.
Kit - Like others have said, I know it seems like a century but you still are in very early withdrawal. It seems the depression is the last thing to go. Hang in there and dont give up, ok? It really will pass and, after a few more weeks, if it doesnt, there are alaways antidepressants. I have heard that its best to wait six months to basically see "what we are left with" as far as depression goes. Then, if it is still unbearable, go for the antidepressants. It really does take awhile for our brains to heal to the point where depression subsides or is minimal.
Congrats on your accomplishment thus far!

sorry for all the drama, but you are in the right place i promise. As i mentioned before i came of oxy also and i was not feeling any better by day 7. I really feel it depends on the drug you were taking and in your case since it was oxy and a high dose i really feel it will take at least 14 + days. I would get a day that i would feel a bit better then the next i felt like i went back. I posted and was told that was normal. I am so proud of you for making it 7 days, this shows how serious and strong you are. Please keep going forward as i know you can do it. I know exactly how you are feeling and i feel really bad for you. I am living proof you can get through this. Are you or can you get clonidine from your doctor. It helps with the wd symptoms. I sent you an email yesterday so if you need to talk let me know. We are here for you and we all want to support you through this tough time. Stay Strong!!

Pardon my attempt to tell a stupid joke..... just trying to lighten things up a little... :)
Kit... you've gotta take this one day at a time my friend. There are no gurantees that things will get better on a certain day. We use the "days" as a very flexible guideline as to when you may be feeling better. In a lot of cases after day 4 or 5 a lot of people are doing better. Obviously this is not your case....
If you're at day 7 then that means that you are 7 days closer to feeling better than you were 7 days ago... I know that sounds really simple and somewhat worthless but.... that's really how it is. Think of where you were 5 or 6 days ago. Even if you still feel yucky you're still a week into this. That in itself is AWESOME! There really is no free ride when quitting pills. Some just have to pay a little more than others and you're paying the whole tab right now.
Keep your chin up... tomorrow is 8 days and then 9 and 10 then a month and so forth... You are on your way! You have 7 days to be proud of so be darn proud of your accomplishment up to this point. Pat yourself on the back and buy yourself an ice cream or something..... :)

thanks for being understanding. I dont think that I have ever been disrespectful or rude to anyone (until now) on this site. I'd like to be treated with the same respect. There are several above posts that state that I am on day seven. But this is non sense how could anyone start an argument, over such a pety sp? thing.

I used hydro, percs, tylox for a four year time span. In between this time I would quit for a while and then start right back up. My husband got in a car accident and sustained a traumatic brain injury. Thats when I relapsed again and this time did something I promised myself I'd never do an Oxycontin. Now I have been on the Oxy's for I guess a year, practically everyday, which has not been cheap at 100-120 for one 80 mg. pill. Sometimes doing two or three a day! I have also been snorting them, removing the coating and using a water clamp to shave them down, I dont know if that makes a difference in detoxing or what but I am seriously going crazy today. I have screamed at everyone that I have came in contact with. . .
