Wow what a day...

My 90th day started out ok.... but by 1 o clock I started getting a super bad headache... one like I had never had ever.. I started to feel nausous as well.. It was too late to call out of work so i attempted driving there.. I felt drunk.. confused.. By the time I made it to the parking lot of work.. I was a crying mess.. My desk girl moved my people around and called my hubby to come get me. He got me home just in time for me to toss my cookies for an hour and then crawl in bed.. apparently i was having my very first migraine.. I usually get tension headaches but this was different. I haven't left bed since 3. Any suggestions out there??

The best best treatment for a migrane that I have found ( I got them like clock-work around my time of the month when I was on the birth control pill and even a light being on as painful) But, the best thing I found is to either get in the shower and let hot water run on your head for as long as you can, as hot as you can stand it... OR get a moist heating pad an wrap it around your head and let it get as hot as you can take it... Something about the heat stimulates relief.. I hope this helps and I hope your migrane is gone!!!

We love his new "Feasting on Asphalt!"       My hubby is a wonderful cook as well............funny and nice how the men are the cooks!

I just want to say this board has kept my mind busy all day and it is such a wonderful gift to have someplace to "go" all day!!

THANK YOU!

Thanks hun... Yes I do eat well.. My hubby makes sure of it.. He is a big guy so he looks kinda funny with my tinyness.. so he trys to keep me not so skinny.

Glad to hear you are not so nauseous.. that was a big thing for me on Sub.. I had to get the script for phergan. It got better as I took it.. I think it depends on when you have eaten and stuff.. Made me sick first thing in the morning.. I started waiting until at least noon to take mine.
I am off tommorrow so If I still have this headache i will get the script.. I was trying to get by without it.. we just got new insurance and we haven't gotten our cards yet so I didn't want to have to deal with that today with how bad i felt..
XOXO

So sorry Hon that your day was such a miserable one.  Hope tomorrow will be a great one for you.  One thing about it, YOU SURE DO eat good food. YUMMY
LOL   My husband is pretty handy in the kitchen as well.   Sorry I can't add any info on migraines.  I am thankful I have not had one.   But, sounds like alot of good info was tossed on here to help you.  So, you take care and don't suffer tomorrow if you still are having the migraine......  Get the script. :>)
Hugs your way>TJack ps>i took the other 4 mg. of my sub. and this time i didn't get nauseated. I am starting to feel my old self reappearing. yay

How funny. My wife is an Alton nut, too. I buy her t-shirts of his, all the autographed cookbooks, and we even have the elusive salt cellar like he uses on the show. My favorite is Giada. Doesn't matter if she cooks a darn thing either!! Oh well, enough chit chat for now..I gotta get some sleep. Work calls soon. I'm wishing you sweet dreams and a painless Day 91 (not that we're counting).

Chad, Yes the 4 of us would enjoy ourselves.. My husband loves to cook.. I grew up as a only child and was mainly cared for by my grandmother. My grandparents have a farm that has been in their family since the  1800's. She was a big cook but wasn't able to teach anyone really since she never followed a recipe. So I never learned to cook..  My husband is a vegetarian for the past 12 years so he taught himself.. He is a big fan of Alton Brown on the Food Network.. My husband makes the best homemade pasta you would ever eat.. it melts in your mouth before you could chew it..
On my myspace page it says " I am so lucky I met Kamran... I was starving" LOL

You know, It just hit me that you don't know my name. I have seen you post as Steph many times, so I feel bad with you having to call me GaGuy. So, I'm formally introducing myself, to you, on your 90th day, as Chad. You're the first one on here to get the first name. Kinda like Kramer, huh? Somehow I imagine that my wife and me, along with your hubby and you..could have one hell of a dinner party. I hear your hubby cooks like I do? We're a rare breed you know!!!

By the way..the light sensitivity, one side pain, and nausea are classic migraine symptoms. Get the Imitrix, keep it, next time the migraine could be much worse. We need you too much on here to loose you for a couple days!!

So sorry your day 90 was the pits, however, it is MUCH better than if you were still 90 days into addiction!

I hope tomorrow feels much better and you can celebrate day 91 :)

Go to the ER and get a shot of Tordal.  It's basically a large dose of ibprofen.  This is what I do when I cannot get rid of my migraine at home.

I am feeling better... it was more on one side of my forehead and also in the back of my skull. my eyes were burning and stinging.. Light was killing me and I was super nauseous.. After I got sick I took a phergan I had and that helped with the nausea.

I don't think its sinuses.... I could feel the veins in my head and scalp throbing... I could see the vein in my forehead pounding... there is Imitrex at the pharmacy if i need it.. my client called in a few for me..

From my experience..migraines usually are just on one side of the head (there are exceptions..but this is from my experience). The sinus ones are all across the forehead and eyes/nose. Tension ones involve the neck and move forward. There's also cluster and rebound headaches.

maybe you have a sinus headache? being pressure and all....just a thought...momma gets those too so I know all about em. I used to get em BAD. They do make OTC sinus headache meds and I got some generic ones that were yellow (long time ago) and they worked really well for me.

I've taken Imitrex for years. Don't be scared of it. It's very good, and not addictive. It's almost impossible to get addicted to because of it's cost alone. For me..6 were 50 bucks on insurance and well over 200 no insurance. Usually only takes 1 though..2 at the most.
