Xanax and sleep during WD's

I know everyone is different.  Just looking for experiences...

I will have a 3-day at a time prescription for xanax to help me sleep while detoxing and for a short time after.  I have used a lighter benzo in the past (ativan i think) and it didn't do anything...just made me more lifeless but didn't prduce sleep.  Sleep deprivation is what usually makes me relapse.  

Has anyone taken xanax during WD"s?  Experience?  Suggestions?  I will be jumping of a very low dose...coming off an extremely high dose (200-300+mgs vicodin/day) I"ve been slowly tapering...feel fine.

When are you jumping off?  xanax is a little stronger than ativan.It always made me sleep.I would only use it at night if that's what you choose to use.

hello.....even though i dont have experivence with xanax..i do have experiene tapering and know that sleep is an issue...there are many on here who have used xanax and can give you some feedback on it....

keep up the good work on your tapering i know it isnt easy at times.
