i am not sure we should be giving her all the gory details. i think she has realized it is very bad. she is already paranoid enough we dont need to add fuel to the fire. just saying.....

I have 4 teens here. Thats why I am so adimate(sp?) about pleading with you.. This and the k-2 subject have been a hot issue within this household with my children for the past week. This stuff scares the heck out of me...
New York (CNN) -- The "bath salts" arrive in quarter-size plastic containers showing a sun lingering over a blue horizon and the promise "to energize your mind, body & soul."
These are not actually bath salts -- they're dangerous synthetic stimulants that look like cocaine, with similar effects.
When inhaled or ingested, the white powder can cause paranoia, hallucinations, convulsions and psychotic episodes.
Poison control centers around the country are reporting an uptick in calls about "bath salts." And according to authorities, people have ended up at emergency rooms and in psychiatric wards after taking the stimulant.
"They might take it one day and be fine and take it another day and they might actually die," says Special Agent Gary Boggs of the Drug Enforcement Administration.
MDVP or methodrone was recently banned in Louisiana and Florida. Sen. Charles Schumer has called for the chemical to be put on the controlled substance list.
Sold at tobacco shops, gas stations, and head shops, the drug can also be bought on the internet.
"With drugs like these, there's no back street alleyway where you're meeting your drug dealer," says Boggs. "You googled your drug dealer and got it delivered to your own home with a credit card."
One online distributor said demand for the brand "Bliss" was so high, the suppliers had sold out. Instead, the seller promised to send two 500 mg vials of a similar product, "Serenity Now," with twice the potency.
The DEA is trying to alert young people and parents about the dangers of "bath salts," which are undetectable in drug tests.
MDPV blocks the neurotransmitter chemical dopamine from being reabsorbed into the brain. When it's used over the long term, the brain stops manufacturing dopamine, which affects a person's ability to feel pleasure.
"That consequently turns into paranoia, anxiety and can be very dangerous," says Boggs.
Police in Panama City, Florida, have attributed two violent incidents to the use of these drugs. They said a woman who snorted "bath salts" allegedly tried to behead her 71-year-old mother. They also said a man on "bath salts" used his teeth to tear up the back seat of a patrol car.
Authorities say the chemicals are made in places like China, Pakistan and India. There are no manufacturing regulations and often no listed ingredients.
"You just don't know what you're buying (or) what you're putting in your body," says Boggs.

Just looked it up and it sounds horrible!!!! missy you need to stop asap....the reason for your paranoia and weight loss is this bath salts. Sound very very dangerous. Good luck and if you cant stop I highly reccommend seeing a dr.
Looking this stuff up, I can see that it's a HUGE problem. Gnarly_1 was right, you should read up on it. However, the paranoia part is a mental thing, which means that if you find out you can stop it safely, then you should be able to "heal" and not worry about after. I am not guaranteeing this, but it seems like it's true.
You need to stop, there are natural things you can try so that you get energy. Trust me LOL, I am not judging you by any means, just trying to help. I am laughing because if you knew the stuff I tried, you would see I am in no place to judge, but I am in a place to inform and help if I can :-)

Wow thanks Dav125 I had no idea....never even heard of abusing bath salts....or whatever its called. Unbelievable the things that can be abused!
That paranoia is from that stuff..Please don't do anymore..Its bad stuff..Bad,bad stuff..The chemical compunds are far more damaging than some street drugs. It was never intended as some sort of bath additive...It was intended to make somebody rich because they found a loophole in the chemical composition which has no legal precedent attached..This will end soon as new laws are working thru the legislative process, but in the meantime teens are showing up in emergency rooms from both the salts and the k-2 crap..Its poison..Its literally legal poison right now targeting anybody's pocketbook the creators can target while the legal loophole is open..

HI the bath salts are all the rage right now....like dave says you can pick them up a convents stores.....I dident know much about them so google here I come....they have similar effects as mdma but are dangerous ....you need to stop doing them now this is a Bad drug of choice not that any are good but this one is particularly ruff on your system and can cause cycossis (SP)take the time to google it yourself I hope you see the light b/4 this stuff kills you good luck and God bless....Gnarly
Bath salts I believe..A synthetic formula thats hit the convenience stores like this k-2 fake pot..Legislators are scrambling to make the substance's in them illegal but for the time being, its readily available..Can cause some pretty severe paranoia from an article I saw the other day.....
missy how old are your boys? have you tried na or aa meetings. you need support groups to help you. can you talk to a pastor. you need to get yourself healthy emotionally and physically. when was the last time you did this?
so glad you came here for help. is this the first thing you have abused or do you have an addiction history? how long have you been doing this? why arent counselors for you. you need to get to the bottom of why you want to do this. you sound depressed have you tried to get on anti depressant medication.
Im afraid im going to lose my job and everything i worked so hard for yes theres counselors been there and done it not for me! i dont take anything else! i have 3 boys,divorced and have a sucky job to go with it but i stick it out because i worked there for 8 years!

39 and im really starting to freak out and realize i need help and i dont know if its the paranoid of not sleeping or what! not sleeping or eating lost 20 lbs very fast too!
