Thank you!! Your doing great as well. You have come a long way already. Im proud of you and your 13 days clean. Im at day 42 now and it does get better. I guess from all this time taking pills i buried some pretty hard feelings and  with no pills my feelings are all over the board and im dealing with feelings from my past. It ***** so bad. I cant wait for this part to be over cuz this has been the hardest part in my recovery. I feel like a helpless lost puppy!!!!

I'm glad you're here.  I'm on day 13 and was taking about the same amount of Norcos/ vicodin  as you were.  I'm trying to stay positive, but it's so hard.  I've been eating healthy and taking vitamins, but haven't summoned up the energy to start exercising which I know I need to do.  I'm hoping to start exercising again this week; that's my goal.
Hang in there and keep posting.  I think this is a long journey; we didn't get here overnight and we won't heal overnight.  I know as addicts we, or at least me, want everything NOW.
Congrats on your 40 days; that is awesome!!

Time will tell what has to be told..You will be riding the waves on that surf board for awhile..But soon you will be walking on the beach..As stated above it all depends on many factors..How healthy and young you are plays the biggest in bouncing back..So does the drugs you have come off of..Try to look at the positive and how far you have come..The energy thing differs from person to person and the more you do for your self the better you will heal..It does take time for Many Brain chems to balance back from the removal of these substances. Try to live just for today..Every morning when the Sun comes up you will feel that much better..Keep pumping those vit/min too..And drink lots of water and electrolyte drinks.
I bet there are a lot of detox stages that you have put behind you..Just know that you are not alone on here with the Energy issues. I have over a Year and that was my best corner to turn ever. But I am no young chic and I c/t 3 meds and have been a long time user..So even at any age we must keep pushing..Just like that REO speedwagon song..Keep Pushing, Keep Pushing!! You are almost at the Top and it is all down hill from there.
Bless!

Hi thank you for responding to me. I have been having an awful time. It is now day 40 and im still sad. I was on norco and hydrocodone as well for about 4 years, this last 2 years i was at 10 to15 a day. Its mental not physical. How do i get through the hard days? I always have a knot in my tummy and i want to cry. When does it end.......did you get this way?

Hi.  I am not sure exactly what you were using and for how long, but if it was opiates (vics, norco, trams, suboxone etc) it can take quite some time to fully recover mentally.  But be VERY proud of 38 days!  That is tremendous and you need to give yourself a massive pat on the back.  I understand that it can take up to a full year for our brain receptors to fully recover from our abuse so be patient.  In the meantime do everything you can to help your mind a body heal.  This means eating good healthy foods, drinking lots of water, getting lots of sunshine, and exercise.  All the above items will heal your body, but will also heal your brain.  The exercise is very important to help rebuild your natural endorphins that we have all messed up so badly.  The more exercise you do, the faster the natural endorphins recover.  This in turn means..... The blahs go away faster!  If you can juice I strongly suggest doing so.  We treated our bodies so poorly we need to replenish them with natural nutrients.  So in a nutshell...... Exercise, eat amazing natural foods and sunshine are key. At minimum make sure you exercise if possible, eat healthier and take a multi-vitamin each day.  If you can get some sun then even better!  Screw the wrinkles!!!    The sun really helps us both physically and mentally.   Good luck and congrats!   You are doing amazing so keep up the work!  A day at a time.   H.F.

Everyone is different.. and has different experiences.. the type of pills, how many, for how long, etc... your body I imagine. But, I pray a lot and just wait.. day to day.. that's how I am going.. day to day... I get more happy with each day I am farther away from the pills.  I hope you are very proud of yourself! You are doing so great!! I am proud of you!! : O )  Very proud of you... and me..

Hi monster.. : O )  I am now 34 days off norcos. I don't know what your drug was, but I am feeling much better. I do have a cold, but that's just from the weather change and the cold. 34 days.. I'm right behind you. What were your pills/drugs you were taking?  I took Norco and hydrocodone for over 20 years. I still have a lot of pain sometimes, but it is much better than when I was on the pain pills. Im sure I still have some issues, but I have to say, I am much much better than when I was on the pills.. They say it takes a month and a half to start feeling somewhat good. Then week by week you feel better and better. I hope this helps..
