almost popped a pill just now!

My husband was just sent to hospital. There was a fire in Grand Central Station N.Y. 1 hour ago I get the phone call. I have talked to him sense and I believe him when he says he is going to be OK. I am 2 hours away. I put down that phone crying all I could think about was going to get a vic to clam down. I talked my way down from that. OMG I can't believe I did it. I sit here by my phone waiting for a nother call. I am 2 hours away from 48 hours clean. I might be posting again real soon like 30mins or so. I will make it,

I know it is tough relax and take a deep breath.  I have been fight that same temtation all day.  I just want this sickness to go away. I know if I were to take some pills it would only delay the end. I know we can do this just fight past the triggers to use.

Try fixing yourself some hot tea or comfort food.  In order to make it through the rough spots, you need to have an exit strategy.  When you start to get real tempted, have a plan for what you can do to overcome the temptation.  If you have to run down the street-do it!  If you have to take a cold shower - do it!  These are just examples, but you should have a plan worked out when life throws you these curveballs.

Be blessed in recovery,

Larry

As soon as i take that other pill or two, it just feels worthless because i was ashamed that i did and nothing good what so ever comes out of it....hang in there!...keep us updated
