Does anyone know of a good (effective) detox/rehab facility in Tampa Bay/St. Pete area?  Son prefers non-residential but has rather large addiction to roxicodone /oxycontin. This is all so confusing and depressing. .  seems so many people are trying to make big bucks at desperate people's expense (and I don't mean just dealers!)  No one is really giving me much hope of permanent freedom from this drug for him, either.

my insurance covered my stay....This was my 3rd place the problem I had with the other locations 3 day detox limited new way of living skills taught....The key is learning a new way to cope with fear,pain,depression ect...You can call an speak to seabrook house about cost insurance they also offer grants.  I was in for 26 days they have a program based for all age groups.  The after care varies from IOP or even extended care in location in PA and FL...I saw so many young people from everywhere.  I feel if I didnt do what I did I would not be here today.  I am 1 year clean....everyday is a new day a good day....

Thank you for your suggestion. Please tell me more about this facility.  Did you feel it was beneficial (successful).  What do they offer?  Any idea of cost (I doubt if insurance would cover)  My son is 24.  I want to do what is best.  Of course I want to believe in him, but in my heart, I also know that an addict cannot be trusted. . . not because they are a bad or untrustworthy person but because drugs are so powerfully evil!  Any help, guidance, is so appreciated. . . . I have talked with so many facilities and cannot help but feel that $$$ is the overwhelming thing.

I know of rehab centers in NJ Seabrook house you dont have to go to one in your state....this palce has a program for all ages and types of addictions I was living in Ohio and went to this one in NJ.....How old is your son?
