So what are you looking to do? Your approximately 4 1/2 months clean and looking for suggestions on aftercare (if I read this right?)
My source of aftercare is N/A. I started off balls to the walls with a meeting every day for 90 days....met people (people just like me), made friends, took suggestions, got a sponser and started working steps. Today, Iam 15 1/2 months clean and I know, this wouldn't be without N/A. Granted, it's not for everyone, but it's definately for me.....it works as soon as you get out of your own damn way! lol...good luck to you, find what works for you.
I agree that I need a structured social system that consists of meeting fellow addicts under the blanket of spirituality but I dont believe in 12 step programs :/ I believe in science and nourishing my body with fresh foods, but I dont know that much about nutrition and stuff.
Nourishing your body with fresh food is great...I do that to....but for the mental part of this disease, I'm not sure that science and nutrition is enough??? The lack of neurotransmitter firing is where some sort of psychiatry, N/A, A/A, therapist, or other form of one on one with other PEOPLE is necessary. Vitamins, good green leafy veges, foods high in protein, all totally necessary, but so is therapy of some sort. I still take the multivitamin and L-Tyrosine that I started detox with, daily, but the real relief was when I started talking....
